Welcome to the Refuge Temple church website. We are an Apostolic/Pentecostal church with an affiliation to the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. We are a dynamic-mutlicultural church, located in Maywood, IL, a suburb just west of Chicago. When in the Greater Chicago area, please feel free to come and join us in any and all of our services and events. Our worship services are open to all to participate in spirit-led expression of worship and praise. Our worship includes the preaching and teaching of the gospel concerning the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, so as to enlighten the conscience to the holiness of God, to feed the mind and spirit with the truth of God's word, and to open the heart to the matchless grace of God. In our service to Christ, we are to call sinners to repentance, lift the fallen, visit the sick, uplift and maintain the highest standards of morality, and urge all believers to seek a Spirit-filled life. It is essential that we nourish and cultivate the Christian lives of our parishioners and to motivate each individual towards full spiritual maturity in Christ Jesus.
